Just last night I bookmarked about 25 dessert recipes that I plan to make in the next few months. (Can you tell we love our treats around here? I'm surprised my Kitchen Aid standing mixer hasn't died on us yet. It gets all the daily workouts I should be doing :P) I'll have to add this one to my list. I love chocolate and mint.
That's just not fair, with about 20 inches on the ground, there is no way I will be leaving the house for at least a day or three and I am out of chocolate chips! I wonder if the plow driver can be bribed with confectionary...
Leah, my next plan is to test my theory that these would be even better with Nestle's dark chocolate and mint chips (not to be confused with mint chocolate chips).
Angela, I actually don't mind the snow so much, but I could do without the windswept-prairie windchills :P However did you get those sweet-looking girls in such an orderly row for your profile pic? :)
Leah II and WIM, these might qualify as worth the walk; and I'm sure that plow drivers can be bribed.
The snow cones sound like a nice variation on the very basic snow ice cream we do around here.
Yes, make those indeed, for your family, then make THIS for YOURSELF!!!! :D OHHHHH YUUUMMM, it is absolutely incredible! http://www.sophistimom.com/one-pan-skillet-cookie/
Melrose, thank you, thank you! I actually ruined a batch of cookie dough the other day trying to make one of these sans recipe. But--is the cast iron skillet absolutely necessary?
Reb. Mary, Those little girls in the profile picture are completely asleep, otherwise they wouldn't have stayed that way for long! The bigger ones had a phase where they liked to sleep together, and when the baby fell asleep I tucked her in for the photo. (And I guess turned on the light...it's been over a year so I don't remember.) And the wind is just nasty. We head back to school tomorrow, but I think my oldest has only had 2 or 3 recesses outdoors since before Christmas - they have a 14 degree temp or wind chill cutoff. (I have no such rule, all three kids have been outside the past two days.)
