The droid I'm looking for

This week's snap post has already expired in terms of superlative usefulness.

DUDE. I'm so in.

Umm... the shape of that thing is just looking a little too bizarre for me, thankyouverymuch.

(Who in the world knew there was a site called "Wookieepedia"??? I mean it looks like people put a lot of time into that. Seriously.)

If I'm remembering correctly, I like the way it talks. All "oooshy wah moh tah, little mother." Yes, yes. Oooshy wah moh tah to you, too.

Melrose, the Force is strong in you.

Leah, I find your lack of faith disturbing. Or perhaps it is a perspective problem? Seen one way, the Chroon-Tan B-Machine appears to have an un-ergonomic protruberance. In fact, it is not a protruberance, but the droid's right paddle, designed for cradling the newborn.

Gauntlets, I sense it too. I am also soothed by its photoreceptors.

Ha! That line was always one of John's and my favorite for quoting!

Now that you have explained the perspective, (which I most certainly did not recognize before), I am feeling the force flowing. For my next baby, want one I do.

Oooshy wah moh tah...that's so much more comforting than "WOAH, that is the largest head I've EVER seen! PUUUUUSSSSHHH!!!!!!!"

And hey, if she moves in with you Rebekah, then who needs a car birth? You can push your baby out and make brownies 5 min later ;).. what with the nutrient reservoirs and padded paddles for cradling the little lad. Yep, let's go Star Wars baby.

Not the biggest Star Wars fan here, but my husband pointed out that that this droid, as lovely as it sounds, wasn't able to do much for the mother. So, I think I'll stick with my OB/GYN until they come up with a better model.

Leah, you're my kind of scum.

Melrose, I'd rather kiss a Wookiee than have to listen to any more idiotic comments while I'm in labor. As for the nutrient reservoirs, I guess even long ago in a galaxy far, far away there were nursing problem.

Other Leah, more training do you require:

GH-7 Medical Droid: Medically, she is completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her.

Obi-Wan: She's dying?

GH-7 Medical Droid: We don't know why. She has lost the will to live.

ahhhhh!!! Don't do it!! Don't make me relive that horrible moment! ...a mother...with newborn twins...has lost the will to live...this is the picture of the human condition. "the time is coming when they will say..blessed are the wombs that never bore..." Ok, so it's "just" star wars...

Rebekah-

I stand corrected. I'll pass the info along to my misinformed husband as well.:P

Girls, this is obviously the height of comedy. As if someone who had lost the will to live would have the will to push out even ONE baby. :D

Melrose said...

oh but she WOULD! Because she knew she could not face or change her husband gone evil crazy man (because she had already tried and even true love couldn't win him over in her case) but that her children might be able to one day. It was her last effort of love for her husband before she herself gave up. :D

I am completely lost.

However, I read recently on a to-find-out-the-sex-or-not list that one of the pluses for not finding out is you have an incentive to keep working during labor. As if otherwise I'd just give up. Wow, if a nurse ever tells me, "Keep working--just think, you'll know the baby's sex soon!".....

Back to Star Wars. Leah 1, I saw that second paddle the same way you did, and I was like "is that for pushing the baby BACK in?!?"

Rebekah, I retract my "you're so cool" statement (j/k!)

I told you, Katy! 8-B
