Possible Solution: Let's ALL move to farming - every family living off the land in a responsible, frugal, earth-friendly way. I'm game if you are. Most large families are already far closer to an environmentally aware way of life than many would like to admit. Consider quality along with all your quantity. Numbers alone don't always tell the whole story.
Don't worry Anon, almost no one in the LCMS or anywhere else agrees with what us crazy folk here think. I'm confident in our statistical insignificance on a global scale.
Dear Anon: Your fact sheet full of facts that we've all already considered is really making the difference, both here and in the LCMS. Because the facts show that the LCMS does not need more people. Nay, it needs more facts. So, wow. Keep up the good work.
And to claim that you are not judging Rebekah or lamenting the existence of her children (and mine) when you anonymously posted a fact sheet that draws a loud connection between eugenical birth control use and utopian-urth ethics is, rather, a ridiculous argument. You come with your facts precisely to judge (with or without malicious intent, I genuinely don't care). Should you say, "Yes. I judge you. Children and birth are bad." then you would at least be acting rationally and this LCMS you speak of might benefit from your input.
There is no virtue in being non-judgmental. Dogs don’t judge; Men, when they're being honest, do. If you'd like to be taken seriously, judge. Stand by your judgments. Have reasons for your judgments, and act upon them. Work to change our minds. Work to change the Synod (which, by the by, needs no help from you in this debate; it has championed your facts and supported limiting the population for years now). Work to change the world. But do not come here, anonymously, with your urth piety, litter our house with your tracts, and then claim to walk some sort of ethereal "I don't judge; I leave that to the fact gods" moral rainbow bridge. That, I have no patience for. You’re down here in the dirt with the rest of us mortals, friend. Best of luck to you.

We at the Goldenhaus affectionately refer to it as the Re-smell-it Shop, but I've picked up some mighty fine items there as well!

Anon,
Did you know that all 7 billion of us would fit on the island of Jamaica? The earth isn't overpopulated; your brain is.

LOL someone who knows nothing about me just enviro-judged me for buying something at a thrift store and reusing it 6 times.
No, I wasn't judging your thrift buying or your six kids. Just giving you facts - something missing in the LCMS.
Shrew - If 7 billion fit on the island of Jamaica there would be no room to grow food or move or live. A ridiculous argument.
LOL someone who said I made a ridiculous argument can't discern my simple point that we are far from outgrowing our planet.

My Husband and I calculated that every person on earth could live in the state of Texas, with 1200 sq ft each!!
