The author of the article must not have nursed babies. I don't want to diminish the importance of what the officer did. But some of us know what it's like to be apart from a baby. Milking machines (I mean, "breast pumps"!) just aren't as effective as a baby. And this woman was away from her baby. I'm sure it was not just social or emotional pain in missing her child. She needed those hungry babies. Not as much as they needed her. But she did need them!
