I'm amazed: You let a four year old near a tube of frosting and frosting actually was applied to the cake?
Happy Birthday, young man. Your aim is so good that I predict you will cause the demise of only one solitary mailbox after you get your driver's permit forty-three years from now.
With this kid, the main concern is making sure he puts the frosting on the cake rather than eating it all. But when BoyTwo comes of an age to decorate his own, there will definitely be more concerns about what is decorated (the walls, floor, hair, dog, etc.)
Glenda, absolutely: I'm all about finding ways to make them useful :)

Happy birthday, little boy!
And letting them decorate their own cakes = sheer genius. That's my plan from now on.

Oh, how I love having a 4-yr-old replace a 3-yr-old. May it bring as much calm to your house as it did to ours!
Happy Birthday!
And now Reb. Mary that he decorates his own cake, you can put him in charge of decorating his sibling's cakes! Woo Hoo for you!
EC: Ha! :)

BTW Rebekah, I'm giving him another week before I start looking seriously askance at your assurances about the joys of 4...
Don't believe her, Reb. Mary. From where I'm standing, I miss 3.
Maybe it's just a girl thing. I'll know in July.
