If I run into a wasp in my clean laundry, and perhaps sort of disable it before running away and slamming the linen closet door behind me, how long before it dies and we can have towels again?
Extra credit: how many more wasp incidents before I give up on the clothesline?

Don't ever give up on the clothesline. I went without mine all last summer. Never again! Wasps are mores scared of you than you are of them. (Yeah, right!) Just go in there with your vacuum ready with the long arm attachment. Hopefully it's still stunned enough not to get away.
just take one of these guys out with you.

TC, the other major wasp incident was extremely terrible. I'll never really give up my clothesline, but I feel like the terrorists have won this one anyway because I live in fear.
etem, I promise to return this favor.
What am I missing by denying myself a clothesline? It sounds terrible. Kind of like hanging everything up (to dry) and then hanging everything up (in the closet). Twice, see. Why?
And if there are wasps involved, I'm out. :)
For some reason I find the words to "Jabberwocky" running through my mind.
GG, it is a huge amount of sweaty work, but it's FREE.
:D Cheryl
I'll trade your wasps in linens for my mice in laundry room. :-)
I have been line drying clothes for many years. I recently started to run them through the dryer to "eliminate" any such suprises. I only run it for about 5 minutes, just long enought to get good and hot. Hope that helps.
PS Love your blog, I have been reading for a few years now.
