If I have one kid who's great with vegetables, another who packs away cheese, another who subsists primarily on one gigantic infusion of biscuits and gravy once a week, and one who only eats meat, there's some case to be made for
our family having a balanced diet, right?

I approve of this message. :D
I second the approval so that makes it legit right? :)
In our case I have two that survive on meat and cheese and two that survive on fruits and grains...maybe the baby will be our veggie eater :)
Ah, that explains Anna's eating pattern - one day veggies & fruits, one day meats. She's making up for being the only kid (so far - next one due in Dec).
Daughter knows four food words, apple, banana, cracker, and pop corn. Guess what foods she likes to eat. Well, at least she has a high fiber diet.
hmm. Mine will eat her weight in mac and cheese. And green beans. Green beans are like baby crack. Maybe little Ralphie will eat meat. And some other veggie besides green beans. And maybe fruit.
melrose - doesn't there need to be an "all in favor, say Aye"?
That is how it works in our family:)
