oh, I'm not the only one??? Why does everyone else around me seem to know what they are doing? Either they are really smart, really intuitive, or really good fakers=)
I think, with practice, one gets better at accepting that we really don't *have* that kind of control. Yes you will get more observant, perceptive, and intuitive, but that's because you finally let go of being 'right' and recognize it's about being faithful.
Love your children, and make sure they know it. Show them Jesus!
Joy: I was trying to put the best construction on it :)
Marie: I'm pretty sure we're all just making it up as we go along. My theory is that the more someone either thinks she's got it all together or thinks she has to have it right all the time, the farther off she is. (Probably I'm just trying to cheer myself up here :) ). Pam's comment comes in quite nicely here. Also: the more I realize how much help I need, the more I throw myself on God's grace and the less tempted I am to sins of pride!
Gauntlets: I'm sure we're getting better, all the time, as of...right now :)

And aren't we supposed to get better at this with practice?
