Something becomes clear

So I was reading a book about baby animals with Boy the Second. Boy the First wandered through as we looked at the last page featuring a "baby human," and he informed me that he and his brother are in fact not human. I tried to correct him on this point, but he was quite insistent, and I was tired, so I finally just conceded, "Well, that does explain a lot." So tell me, how much permanent damage am I inflicting on their impressionable young minds?

Our loquacious 22 month old is in the habit of announcing that she is a cat, a frog, a pig, or a girl. We're hoping she settles on girl. (She also thinks humans are divided into two groups: girl and buddy.)
