An idea

We're plowing into the holiday season, and you know what that means! A significant uptick in nominally-planned conversations about your lack of procreative sense!

Word to the wise: when the topic comes up, say, "You are sweet to be concerned. Why don't you discuss your concerns with my husband?" Chances are very, very good the crickets will start chirping your favorite tune then and there. ;)

Thanks for the laugh!

And really, did I ask Those People to try to buy something special for all six of them?

No! Please! We really don't need any more something specials!

oh my word, it took Emily's comment for me to realize what on earth this post was about! But then, that's due to our lack of procreative sense, what with my brain being all baby right now and all :p

fart on presents, we're going "on the banks of plum creek" (see last chapter) style for our Christmas this year!...minus pa getting lost in a blizzard of course...I hope :)

If only I had this response in my head when someone threatened to report me for child abuse for having my child in the balcony during the Easter service. I think I'll write it down on sticky notes and post them everywhere I look so it's on the tip of my tongue.

Child abuse for being on a balcony?

Why, I never. Kind of minimizes the real terrible things that can happen to children.

Well, I suppose I should explain that the organ was in the balcony, and very loud. So that was the concern- that it was too loud for him.

It sure ruined my Easter joy.

Leah, I was at your parents' house when you were talking to your mom on the phone about it that day. When she told me what happened I was so mad I wanted to go over there and wring that person's neck! Absolute insanity. I hope that person has left you alone since!

Melrose, I didn't know you were there! So you know the whole story... I'm not so furious anymore. He wasn't a member of the church, so I didn't see him anymore while we were on vicarage.

Leah: Tractors is so dumb. I don't think even the DHS has so little regard for taxpayer money that it will investigate a woman for the mundane matter of taking her son to church on Easter Sunday. :D Cute of that fellow to threaten it, though. :P

Gauntlet, I know. I knew it then, too. I'm still working on my thick skin!
