What they didn't know: I'm pestered anyway, but can't do anything for the people who come knocking. Now I'm trying to figure out how diplomatically to get those keys . . .Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14546489539063088564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2566055197730422533.post-45386990147695925532009-09-22T17:44:18.802-05:002009-09-22T17:44:18.802-05:00Aw, Monique, go on with ya! :D

I used to think that I should be a "key person" of the important, indispensible, own-office-and-nameplate type. Turns out there's a strange and quiet satisfaction in being the person who is home and has keys to the church when it's locked and someone needs in. Who knew? :DReb. I'm never impressed with those who try to convince me the church should employ me as an official deaconess for the few merciful things I attempt from time to time. I don't teach S.S. or visit the shut-ins b/c I have a deac degree. And to be honest, I don't even do them b/c I'm married to the pastor. I do these things because I love to, and because it's what Christians do.Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11024202043158914892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2566055197730422533.post-44284831624789087532009-09-20T13:50:30.213-05:002009-09-20T13:50:30.213-05:00Rebekah, this is really a good post.

Thank you for verifying that being in the sidelines is still being a pastor's wife. I feel too, that teaching your children the faith, how to act, and love their Savior is by far the most important role we have as pastor's wives.Jodi Niermannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2566055197730422533.post-68009178624278441492009-09-19T18:17:11.609-05:002009-09-19T18:17:11.609-05:00Hey, I don't know you, but thanks.
