Do your worst, kid

I've found it cost effective to make flannel crib/toddler bed sheets, in which I believe firmly for the winter months, but not regular cotton ones. However, I was forced to make an exception despite the expense (Walmart clearance: not actually that great) for this most felicitously colored of cottons:

You can also sew two flannel blankets together to make a crib sheet.

I've been brewing this notion that children's clothes and linens should come only in dark colors, but obviously the solider yellows would be OK for infants . . . .

We still have the flannel pillow cases my nana made for my papa when he was going bald :) Very cosy!
