A little place for our stuff

There's fitting everybody in the car, and then there's fitting everybody's PILLOW in the car.

Deep, slow breaths . . . .

That's nothin'. If we have any more children after this next one, we'll have to be getting a new car!!

I caught my husband looking at homeschool vans on the internet.

We were ogling a shiny new homeschool van parked outside the bowling alley just last night. Because we are that cool.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a "homeschooling van".

Yeah - what Leah said.

Bonnie, who didn't want a van but bought one 'cause they don't make cars that'll comfortably fit 5 people anymore and who figured a '75 Caprice wagon probably wouldn't be the wisest choice (even if it did have the coll back seat that faced backwards that we loved so much as kids) and who subsequently had a miscarriage but figured, "Well, we're not gonna stop having sex, so we'll probably need this thing eventually, because, as Pr. H.R. says, "How the hell should I know?"".

After baby #6 we went to a 15 pass. van-this must be the homeschooling van?
However, after several more babies we had to add a utility trailer to pull behind - that's the BEST choice you don't have to endure packing stress at all - EVERYTHING fits.
EVERYONE has their own comfortable space for sitting - just add books on CD and the ride is enjoyable.
Added benefit - the utility trailer also doubles as a space to store all of our camping equipment. We had several 15 pass. vans over the past 23 yrs. and I actually grew FOND of them.
This year we downsized to an Excursion and I was actually VERY SAD when we sold the van, it felt like when I put the cloth diapers away. Happy ending though I now love the Excursion and we still use the utility trailer.

Oh.....as for the diapers.... I now have grandchildren wearing cloth diapers, so that helps some ....... but as for "A little place for our stuff" it's not gonna be a reality think BIG.... it's worth the change.

That was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! I almost spit coffee out everywhere!!!!!! I homeschooled last year and definately miss it. We found a school that is as close to homeschooling as you can get. However now that baby girl is not in the destructive crazy toddler stage (kind of, lol) it might be in our future again :)

Gauntlets - Ohhhhh, now I get it - a "homeschool van".

(Tim Hawkins is hilarious - you've gotta watch "Cletus Take the Reel", a parody on "Jesus Take the Wheel")
