Dang it feels good to be a Lutheran

I was so glad to learn that my close friends the Duggars finally have their baby home. Incredible people, those Duggars; moreso than most people realize. By which I mean they do it all without Sacraments OR drinking.

But in all sincerity: God bless you, Michelle, Jim Bob, and Js!

I love the Duggars. Kind of strange how reality TV can make you feel as if you know a family who has no idea of your existence.

I saw the very first Duggar documentary when I was engaged to be married. That very next week I was to fill a prescription for birth control in preparation for our wedding night two months later. I just had never given it a thought, it was what everyone in my life did. When I saw the title of the show I laughed and tuned in...then I couldn't peel my eyes from the screen. Thanks to that show I never filled the prescription and that was the beginning of our journey to CSPP :)

Hey, the Hebrews had to trust God for 8 days before circumcision, so the Duggars can trust God till their kids reach the imaginary Age of Accountability. I'm just trying not to think about wine.

In truth, I love the Duggars. I watch the show whenever I can and am amazed at how with-it and calm Michelle is--truly an inspiration!

You know, I've never seen even one episode of any Duggar program ever. I think this makes me a bad person.

I used to watch Humiliating Televised Births, or whatever that show was called, but then we moved to a place without free cable.

I am very pleased that their baby came home. They are taking active roles in The Baby Conference next week. I kept wondering how they could come all the way down here with a baby in the hospital. I was kind of hoping they might choose not to come for their own sake. We'll see.
