Remember when

the children and their governess took their meals in the nursery until the little darlings were civilized enough to join the adults?

What--you don't believe this is, or ever was, or ever will be, my house?

haha, my sister (mother of nine "little darlings" ages 10 and under) has her children eat in the garage! :) Now before you gasp, part of the garage has been turned into a room of sorts that is just off of the kitchen. There is a large church potluck style table that all the children eat at while my sister brings the food out, gets seconds, and visits with them. Her and hubby eat later in the evening after the children are in bed so that she can actually eat!

We also do this on Wednesday nights since the midweek Divine Service interferes with normal mealtime. We call it "liberal supper."

Ach! I think about this all the time. Nursery dining: the better way to eat.

I wouldn't mind meal time so much if they would just stop spilling their milk.
