Casuistry: gluttony vs. waste

Which is worse: eating a piece of cake that you certainly don't need and really don't want, or throwing it away? What if you do want it, does that make a difference? I end up playing Buridan's ass every time the cupboards get crowded.

personally, I think the repercussions to our body from gluttony are worse than what it does to the garbage can to throw it away if it truly is not needed.

You know that I'm . . . um . . . crazy. But here's my motto: the taste has to justify the caloric intake. If it's really good chocolate cake, eat it and be happy. If it's only OK or bad, throw it out. Chocolate cake isn't real food, anyway.

If you do want it and then throw it away, well then it's fasting, see?

My turn to ask whether you've been spying on me :)

I'm always wishing there really were a way to box it up and send it to the proverbial starving children.

Great, thanks. If anyone wants some Christmas cookies, they're out in the dumpster.

You threw out those cookies? Nooooooooo!!!!! What will I do when my special counter is empty at Easter?
